Are OOC notes in notebooks against the rules?

Hello, are OOC notes in notebooks against the rules?

For example, what if someone wanted to tag an OOC note in a notebook titled "OOC: Thank you for all who participated in this story"?
In the note it'd be a message enclosed with (( )).

Is this too immersion breaking?

Thank you for reading.

From the rules: Roleplaying on this server is a requirement. Do not use OOC in chat. Do not use internet slang or directly reference either real life places, people or events.

Yes, I've read that and interpreted it as chatting in /say with people in an OOC manner. Like using "lol" and talking about real world politics in IC chat.

The Kudos forum would likely be a better place to show that kind of appreciation.

But would it be a rule break if I did it in an OOC note, nonetheless?

Yes, it would be a a rule break. The dms don’t look at notes any different than they do any other form of ic communication

This is basically the team's take on it.

Alright, so any sort of OOC note falls under the 'No OOC in chat' rule? Even if tagged with OOC? And notes are considered chat?

Pretty much.

The only regular exception is for notes that organize events, the team tolerates a little bit of ooc dating there E.g. 'Big Banite Bashup in Minmir! ((ooc 4pm GMT 29 of September)). Bring your own snacks!

Even that strictly is a little dodgy, but I think we all understand the difficulty of time otherwise.

Beyond that - anything In Game should be kept In Character.

Thank you so much for the clear answer. I appreciate it.

Have a great day.
