Friday night group Australian time

Post by Mithreas » Thu Apr 09, 2015 10:30 am

So, I have a mind to run a regular campaign on the FL server meeting on Friday nights Australian time (so starting an hour or two earlier than the time of this post, but on Friday).

Two questions.
- Who would be interested in such a thing? I'd want to keep the group size quite small - 5-6 regulars maybe - to keep it manageable.
- Would anyone like to try their hand at running it? I'd be very happy to play instead of DM, if someone wanted to flex their creative muscles.

When are you thinking about starting? I won't be able to make it at that time on Fridays until around summertime, but it sounds like it could be fun.

Do you want to live in Spain? Nice climate, beauty cities and beachs :P

As I live in your antipodes, no matter how much I could like to play that campaign.

have fun!

Friday (Tommorow Night, Today is Thursday)
6:30pm or 7:30pm
(GMT+10)
22 Hours from now.

But yeah, when were you thinking of starting at a guess? Unfortunately if I did participate it would be as a blood sucking player enjoying the work of the DM, because I know next to nothing about FL/Running. I'd be interested in giving one session a whirl!

That'd be sweet as.

Although Friday is hard for me since that is when I run a PnP campaign and it's the only time of the week that all me pnp chaps have free together. If it was any other day (after 8pm aussie time during weekdays, otherwise anytime on the weekends) I'd definitely be a regular.

[I'm on NZ time. +2 hours Aussie)

I'm happy to run an event or two as a guest if you get tired Mith, we can talk about it over skype.

I'd love to do that, but I'm pretty sure that corresponds to 4 AM Central Standard Time or something like that Friday morning here.

Sounds like an awesome time though, maybe I could wake up and play for an hour or two before work some weeks.

This is something I have tried to get set up a couple of times with a few groups, since FL is perfect for this sort of thing. I know at one point we had a couple of groups and Scourge and another DM (cannot recall the name) were down for it, then there were some changes that occurred and it sort of petered out.

I would totally be down for this, if the time was better. Unfortunately I am PST (-8 GMT) and this Australian time is for scrubs like Stath (betrayer of Ivon, all for the sake of a redhead with boobs *shakes tiny fist in rage...impotently* :D ).

But if anyone (including a DM or two) was cool and actually wanted to do this at the cool people time, like evenings in the US, that would be awesome.

I would love this, but I'm still not sure what time that would be for EST.

Also, I'm only semi-regular on fl(once or twice a week), so I'd give up my spot if the group gets full of people more active than that

I am EST as well but would love to get into something like this. Would it be new toons so as to start fresh across the board or would existing toons be used?

If you're in EST, stop clogging up the thread :) It would be starting at something like 2am your time!

But if you're in EST you have lots of players around in your playing hours. This thread was born from realising that in my peak playing hours there are <15 players across all servers... so this initiative is to create a more organised way for us to meet up and play together.

But all kidding aside I actually would be interested as long as I understood the parameters of the group, i.e. what races are playable and what alignments are allowed etc.

Sorry for the necromanceries but I was wondering, is this still a thing that is going to happen?

Also my own tabletop campaigns have been switched to Sundays, so if this was a thing, I am definitely free to do it.

I'd be keen myself.

(wonders how I didn't find this thread when I first joined ... )
