Hi!
I started on Skal about a week ago; I bought NWN while it was on Steam Sale and letting it sit in my vault for a while for the longest time, installed it on a bored whim and I've been on for a couple of hours every other each evening since.
I just wanted to say hello and thank you to everyone who has been really helpful in explaining how things work, helping me gear up and showing me around. Everyone I've come across in game so far has been really friendly and I've been having a really good time.
Looking forward to meeting more of you in game too.

I wil have to say, Skal is possibly the best place to start as a new player. I did also when i first joined a year ago, got involved in some funky events, and found it the easiest to find the writs locations.
The only touch bit is when you get to about lvl 10-15, mobs require a team or a good build... BUT you do find people around the campfire far easier than on the mainland.
Then you can go to the mainland and join the story there (if you wish!)
Welcome, and enjoy your stay. There are times when you may see some bad players, but please dont fret! just take screenshots and they are sorted with, and if you are polite OC you will find many new friends =^.^=
