It's been stated pretty firmly that Arelith will not be using CEP precisely because the quality of the content it adds is extremely mixed. I'm sure some of the higher-quality stuff might be added, but with the talented staff and devs we have, I would not be at all surprised to see Arelith getting entirely novel additions purpose-made for the server instead.

Honestly most of the HAK clothing I've seen looks like absolute garbage quality wise.

I agree with this. It's very immersion-breaking when silly and often broken pieces of clothing are added to a server.

There is nothing to worry about guys,the team wouldn't add stuff that looks out of place. Trust the Arelith team! ;)

Yeah there's a lotof classes that get neat cookies at X level under the assumption you can't shove UMD on and have that cookie at the same time. Allowing people to CC UMD opens up a lot of that stuff, so it'd need to be looked at pretty carefully, to say nothing of the class combinations that'd now get UMD.

there are some reasons why everyone should not have umd in their builds. We keep having threads about optimal parties and yet then more threads about builds that need all the bells and whistles that would make parties obsolete

Lets look above at the list for example.
1- is a save machine tank for front line combat, doesnt make sense to have umd
2- speed Hips and melee not to mention how many attacks per round, oh but it cant use a scroll, why does it need to?
3- melee specialist not magic specialist
4- Holy warrior diplomat type, not one you would expect to need to use forbidden things
5- really another example of a full plate infinicaster somethings just dont mix
6- infinicaster pot stirrer donest need anymore magic
7-10 all the barb mixes make no damn sense in existing. why because pdk wm and fighter all are disciplined and a barbarian is not
11-13 Druids really need more access to magic?
14- last but not least a bookworm and a woodland stalker. come on guys no archmage who isnt named elminster is going to go wandering the woods, and surely doesnt need umd if they did

sometimes mechanic allowance is overriding common game sense. we as players may know something is allowed to be done, but how is it justified within the rp of the toon we create. Lets keep them plausible afterall.

there are classes and races i would love to see that haks can provide, and would love them prior to trying to boost other existing ones
