I'm pretty sure you can (if your inventory is the only thing thats open) press C to open your character sheet, B to open your spells, and P to open the player list, and then close everything and it should close your inventory without you having to run back to the corpse that was open.
Someone else test it will ya? I found this out by accident, but the order might be wrong. It works for me though.

Alternatively, you can go back and click the corpse that caused the issue. Should force a refresh of the inventory being open, and display the items. Then you should be able to close it normally.
I don't really know what causes it, but being a looting addict, it's pretty typical for me to get at least 2-3 of them every dungeon when I'm speed looting.

It's a Dwarf, no it's a Dragon, no it's a Halfling! I think.

Clicking back on the body is annoying. So I found another way XD. I too am a speed looter when in dungeons and it happens to me all the time.

or you can just click the next corpse and it works too
Yes I can sign

The worst is when you instinctively try to close it, and it makes your character RUN ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE CORPSE CAUSING THE BUG.
