Shadow mage path?

I don't want FOIG info at all, but I'm just curious if this can be accessed later on after character creation? I'm told wild mage and chaos mage have trainer npcs or something like that, and try as I might I can't find one for shadow mage. Am I wasting my time? I've done some pretty extensive rp and adventuring and haven't found much at all yet is all.

I believe there is an NPC, and if I remember correctly, they are put in a place that thematically makes sense for them, unless I'm mistaking one NPC for another.

I've been in as many thematic locations that I can think up- though there are a couple more I need someone with a good lockpick to get into. I guess I'll try to get into those soon

I asked about this a few months back and a trainer was going to arrive with an upcoming shadow mage update. The update hasn't happened yet and I doubt the trainer has been added either.

This was before the EE switch so it's probably all low priority. Hopefully still happening soonish.

The wiki says the NPC exists and that it's IG information but if that's true the wiki might be a bit off :X I'm sorta willing to believe you over it at this point 'cause I've used quite a few attunement potions and searched pretty intensively in the shadow plane. I could be missing some things, though.

If OP is level 10 or below, and there isn't a NPC, then that's probably the fastest route, anyway. Even if the staff is willing to do a path change, it'll probably take longer to process than quickly questing through the first handful of levels.

I would contact the devs via PM and ask try to the one who was working on the shadow mage update directly if the trainer has been placed and if not, what the status is.

Don't remake the character since this is something that will most likely happen sooner or later unless the person working on it dropped out completely. Right now shadow mages aren't so great anyway so you may as well enjoy your evocation spells a little longer

A friend of mine who has been on server much longer than me actually contacted Spyre over this since my last post. From the conversation shown to me, Spyre doesn't know if it exists and is gonna look into it tomorrow- and might push it along if it doesn't. If it does, I might get some hints given to me in game or something? I'm not sure if I'm even allowed to mention someone else's private conversation with a DM even if it's on my behalf XD

I am not certain whether or not the actual trainer exists IG already. However, one was supposed to exist at some point - and that belief will eithe rbe proven to be true or added when possible.
