Is there a way to stop object culling?

Post by Diilicious » Sat Jun 02, 2018 11:01 am

When you approach some things the game automatically hides terrain objects, tree foliage, cuts buildings in half when you are next to them.

is there a way to stop the game from doing this so you see the world as it is all of the time?

You can also go into your nwnplayer.ini file and set the zoom to a much larger number which lets you zoom way back even if the "Hide Second Story Tiles" is turned on.

You are looking for CameraMaxDist

Mine is "CameraMaxDist=40.000000"

With the zoom out this far, you actually zoom above the roofs on most buildings and get a great perspective.

I use this and keep Hide Second Story Tiles set to on, I don't like it when my view is blocked, I'd like to think my character's view wouldn't be semi-obstructed by tree branches 20 feet above his head.

I didn't know about that either! I would totally turn the Culling off for the RP format of the game. Also there's a lot more to see when half the city isn't chopped in half all the time lol.
I loved and I loved and I lost you... And it hurt like hell.

yes exactly, it was always something that annoyed me but not enough for me to do anything about until recently, when i got tired of half the game being invisible most of the time.
