Newcomer having issues connecting

Post by IxTheSpeedy » Sat May 12, 2018 9:50 pm

Hopefully this is the correct place to post this.

I am a long time NWN player, I've been playing on the EFU server for many years and thought I would check out another server with a long history and interesting systems. Anyway, I can't connect. Whenever I log onto any of the three modules listed in the EE multiplayer list and create a new PC I get "Character deleted" whenever I try and join the game.

Do you all have an IRC or Discord server that I could join to chat with folks about what could be going on?

I'm running standalone NWN:EE, not via Steam. I've cleared out any haks or overrides from EFU. Not sure why I can't join.

Thanks in advance. Any help is appreciated.

Arelith requires unique usernames, so the username you're using is probably already taken. If you've set NWN to remember your login, you can go to... I think it's nwnplayer.ini and change your username manually there.

Ahhh, that was it, I must have logged in with an old CD key back in the day or something. Thanks for the help!

No problem! Hopefully soon it will be possible to change the message from "Character Deleted" to something that actually tells people what's going on!
