Help! A list of video cards that work with EE
It appears that the graphics problem (dark screens) is on board GPUs.
People I play with are now playing Civ, lets get them back here. Oh and the Greeks are getting pounded
If you are playing and your graphics are working could you post what video card you have and the approximate cost. Cards
under $100.00 would be preferable but any will do.

Dark screens - no image at all?
My graphics are darker than I would like - but otherwise it all works. GTX 980 Ti.

Re: Help! A list of video cards that work with EE
The GTX560 served me well for about 7 years, until its tragic demise a few weeks back. It would still run the EE just fine.
If you are looking for something solid but cheap, I'd aim for something like a GTX 780 or a GTX 1060. Or a GTX 1050.
Those are good cards that will run strong for a good set of years.
Currently i'm playing with a GTX 820m, and it's not ideal, but it works at least.

I use the NVidia GeForce 750 Ti SC, when I got it and was one of the best deals there was.
That said, it's a bit dated now, and better cards have dropped down to that same pricetag I had paid (<200).
I used this site to look up cards and take a pick. (Check the best value chart to find a card that stands out, and compare performances of it to other cards on the other charts they have)
https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/
The GT 1030 seems a reasonable pick($120) if you want cheap, although if you need more power and don't mind spending a bit more the GTX 750 Ti(150-160$) or the GTX 1050(180$) might be better.
If you play games like Overwatch or the Elder Scrolls series, I recommend not going with the 1030. These run fine on my GTX 750 Ti SC, but it's more or less at its limit. I imagine the 1030 could run these, but you'd have to use lower graphics settings.
That said, if you aren't getting framerate issues or that sort of problem, maybe just try Symphony's shader? It should brighten things up.
PS: If you do get a Video Card, make sure to check whether it needs an additional power cable plugged in to it. If your power supply has an extra cable for it, you'd be fine, but if you get a card that needs one and you don't have one, you'd have to buy a new power supply as well.
That's one of the nice advantages to the 750 Ti Single-fan model, it doesn't need additional power. I'm unsure if the others I listed do or don't need one.

Thanks everyone.
I installed a Radeon 5450 and I can play now, the graphics are back to what they were before.

On a GT 1080 it runs fine. It's a bit dark at night and underground, but that suits us up in Brogendenstein.
Re: Help! A list of video cards that work with EE
I use a nvidia gtx 760 in a custom built desktop pc. I had the issue of the game being too dark, but turning off enhanced contrast let me see things like normal again.
Admittedly though my video card still costs $200 to $300 thanks to the rise in popularity of cryptomining.
As someone who understands computer hardware and specifically nvidia and their cards: never buy anything ending in numbers except xx60 and xx80. Everything else like the gt 1020 are subpar cards that will not handle modern games well. If all you care about is arelith though they will work fine. Seriously, my gtx 760 is better than a gt 1020. I unfortunately don't know enough about amd video cards to say much about theirs though.

Nvidia 1070sli, running on one of those MSI GT73VR Titan gaming laptops... I thought I'd push it and crank up everything to high to see what it looks like, and it's been crashing on me... not sure if I can attribute it exclusively to the Graphics card, but I'm struggling.

Intel HD 3000. I had some problems with lag, but after disabling some graphic features of the game (e.g. depth of field), it seems to be working fine.
