Favorite Player Home?

Post by Spaniardl » Mon Jan 29, 2018 4:06 pm

Hi. Just curious. Whether it be a tiny hole in the wall, or a giant castle. What is your favorite player home you have been to or have owned?

The Burning Shores secret lair is an absolute top tier villain house.

All the Cordorian estates (With the exception of the really massive one with the pool in the middle because I never feel like I put enough fixtures in it) are dope too.

Too far away and inconvenient to get.
Maskarran temple is cool. Desert fortress of Sibayad has seen a lot of RP.
The mansion in Bendir's side village, which name i can't remember.
Undergrove's cool.
Misc Changes, with the Feats and Skills sublinks.
Available races
Spell Changes
Class Mechanics
Command Guide

Take a look before asking your questions!

There's a two way portal less than a minute's haste/invis run away. Use wands or cast them.

I'm partial to the Gnome Workshop/Tungsten Turret, for it's gorgeous dressing and embellishments, despite being a small room.

Some of the Cordorian Estates are also very pretty.

Aesthetically, the solitary house that stood outside Guldorand beyond the logger building was one of my favourites. Really miss that area in general, sad it had to go.

Nostalgia-wise, I would always smile wistfully when in pretty much any of the Wharftown houses. A lot of memorable RP happened in those for me.

As much as I loved the Campsite, it was so impossible to decorate that cluttered tent interior in a satisfying way.

Why should the great bell of Beaulieu toll when the shadows were neither short nor long?

It makes me wonder if there are any really secret player homes, like the Rayek's End mod in Skyrim..

Haven't seen much at all, but my favorite is the Grotto room my druid is living in at the moment. The main reason is the cave pool that fills about 1/5 (?) of the room. I imagine there might be little pale, bug-eyed cave fish swimming by all the time. Feels like the Underdark.

The bottom floor of the Tungsten Turret is my favourite one I've seen.

There are a lot in cool locations, like the Abyss and the Shadow Cordor though, but they are cool for other reasons.

Although it's not actually a house, the Grotto of the Queen is a great area.

Same. My second favorite is the hermit house outside of Cordor, although it's a bit less hermit-y now that the Rosewind wagons are there too.

I really like the current Magery location. It's the old Merchant District baronial estate with a second floor added and its perfect now for running a faction out of. Also good are the Waynolt estate and the current Draconic Guild HQ. Great for housing large families/noble houses

The tower has a nice look, it just needs to be more private. Mage towers aren't supposed to be welcoming public-type places

The tower at the Basecamp is lesser known but also really nice

let's trade the tower's openness for a templar base attachment

The old sewer guildhouse was fun. It had a great layout and amenities for any kind of group.

I've seen that place, reminds me of Baba Yaga's hut.

I'm personally incredibly partial to the Weatherstone. Lots of RP to have around there, a nice garden, and an outgoing portal right nearby. Nice and homey inside.
Bane's tyranny is known throughout the continent, and his is the image most seen as the face of evil.

Forgot to mention, my favorite quarter would actually have to be the one I made for Trynn when I played her on Myth Drannor. They would let you design your own quarters there and submit them. It was pretty sweet. Had a helmite altar, armor room, meeting room, a studio complete with improvised pottery wheel and various paintings, and a wardrobe that spawned all her favorite outfits (including actual dresses since they used CEP). Even her very own cellar full of wine.
Very posh

Housing continues to be one of the most unfair and frustrating parts of this server. Design-wise, there's some really nice ones in Bendir Dale, and the homes on the bottom floor of the tower in Myon are really pretty also.

RP only starts at 30 if you're a coward.

Surprised no one has mentioned ships, they're awesome. Sadly, super-duper-hogged, so some people never ever even get a chance to see/use them.

There are a few you can take out for a reset.
