I log in to arelith and after a minute I seem to disconnect (inventory doesn't load and the like) shortly after I get the disconnect message. After this happens when I try to log back in I can't find any of the servers. I restart my laptop and it finds them fine, log in, after a minute it happens again. I could log in fine yesterday and my laptop hasn't updated since then or anything. Any advice? (the non tech savvy version preferably.)

Go to your NWN folder. C:\Neverwinter Nights Diamond Edition (Or wherever you have it installed.)

Head to nwnplayer.ini (Will look like a notepad document.) Open it.

Go to the [Profile] category and find "Client Port=####" There will be a string of four numbers specific to your NWN install.

Bump up that number by 2. Save the changes.

It is happening again and the client port doesn't seem to be fixing it this time. I have changed it several times to no effect. Anyone got any other ideas or advice? Any more info I could provide that might help?

Where are you when this happens? I used to have trouble where being in Cordor or on the outskirts would cause me to crash within a minute of login. "Solved" by immediately going inside and waiting ~5-10 minutes.

If you get booted and it won't let you reconnect, try connecting to the other server instead.

Both times I've been on the surface server (but that is where I tend to play). The arcane tower the first time, Guldorand the second. After I disconnect my direct connect thing can't find either the surface or C&P servers. It just times out.

Do you have anyone else playing on your connection? Roomie/spouse/whatever?

Nope it's just me.

I am now experiencing a similar problem. Server is timing out after 20-30 seconds of uptime. All attempts to relog after the first timeout do not work, server either times out again right away or just fails to connect. The forums have also timed out for me several times.

Oh god it's conk bagels (this is a auto correct of contagious so glorious that I'm keeping it in), you tried to help and the curse has spread to you. If it happens to baron also I'm calling witchcraft.

This is happening to me now, too.

It's as if the servers and website crash for about 30 seconds and then come back up. Nothing else is affected. Just happened four times in the span of 15 minutes.

Well it seems to have finally sorted itself out for me. Fingers crossed it doesn't come back. I didn't do anything I know of to fix it so can't help anyone else sadly, just time seemed to do the trick.
