-noxp suggestion

this suggestion was thrown into the rejection bin far too quickly.

"just dont level up" is not an acceptable way to do this if you still want to play the game and adventure.

you cant heal yourself by clicking on your portrait if it has the level up thing there, so when your in the heat of the moment, you are going to be having to try and click on your character model while its jerking dodging and weaving, potentially surrounded by creatures much larger than you, obscuring your character model.

I dont see any reason this needs to be a rejected suggestion.

This seems like one of those things that would add workload for very little gain. There is already a way around it (not leveling up) that may be slightly inconvenient, so the amount of work necessary to put in a feature that will only rarely see use would be a bit of a waste of resources.

The best way to get a minor change like this included would probably be to produce a script to perform it yourself and send it in to the devs.

You absolutely could.

-Losexp regularly to slow you down, and stay in adventure mode all the time so you have a big backlog if you want to catch up at some point..

When suggestions are passed on though, I wonder if just letting them sit there unanswered is better than a quick and flippant reply. The vast majority of suggestions aren't going to happen anyway.

Just bind -losexp to an obscure key. Bash it every now and again.

Implying healing your portrait shouldn't be nerfed.

using -losexp will just waste any adventure xp you have saved up rather than, you know, freezing it where it is so it doesnt drip down anymore.

not being able to freeze it just wastes another perfectly good system (adventure xp) with a terrible solution.

It wasn’t meant as a quick or flippant response. But a current solution to the problem that did not need to be evaluated code wise immediately. Though it’s better to get a response to realize it’s been looked at and acknowledged, rather than left wondering

A character that hits a level up window will not gain exp from any source until the level is chosen. It is the quickest solution to the issue addressed in the suggestion. And, from their suggestion, it seems like it was something that could be done for them when they needed it without waiting on an update that may not happen.

Just for your information, I also don’t have rejection powers on suggestions. I just gave input on the post.
