Returning Player looking for Morally Ambiguous Cohorts
Hey guys,
I'm back to the game after nearly a year's absence. Looking to start up again and do some shenanigans that upstanding citizens might take issue with. Unfortunately, Wharftown is now destroyed (WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN? PEOPLE TALKED SMACK ABOUT VANCE BUT AT LEAST HE DIDN'T NUKE WHARFTOWN), so I don't know where or how to get in contact with... shall we say, uh, legitimate businessmen.
So, yeah, if you people could hit me up with a private message, I would love to take part in your morally ambiguous schemes of moral ambiguity. Thanks.

The Underdark is as active as ever. I think there are some Banites running around too, unless there's just some people who wear black and gold for no reason.

Edit: or did you mean actual preachy preachy religious head types? Not sure if the elves have one of those.

As much as I hate the old "FOIG!" quip, my good man, I genuinely believe these things are best FOIG.
Reaching out and trying to find people to work with in an uncertain atmosphere is half the fun. For me, anyway. I guess YMMV.

Re: Returning Player looking for Morally Ambiguous Cohorts
I thought "cohort" means a group of old people. But it's also some culty-edgy-shady thingmy? So conflicting...
Welcome back! As a player who can be online rarely and for wee-tiny periods of time on average, I feel it's helpful to have some way of connecting with people OOC. The Arelith Discord chat is full of people swearing all the time, but if you get past the shock, it's a very nice group and a good way to get to know people. In the general chat there tends to be the obstructive FOIG wall, but as soon as you join a private or faction chat people become more open and forthcoming. Mingling can be exceedingly difficult if you have no time to cultivate the RP and have no entry to social circles through friends on the server.

In modern day, a cohort is a group of people sharing a similar task, function, or characteristic. It may additionally be defined as a singular person, specifically a colleague or familiar companion.Opustus wrote:I thought "cohort" means a group of old people. a. Opustus had a cohort of elderly worshippers.
b. Opustus invited his shady cohorts over for lunch.
