Advice for a new character

Post by SigurdTheMighty » Tue Aug 22, 2017 10:54 pm

Hey there folks! Been away for about a year and I'm in the mood for a new character, but I don't really have any idea where to start. I'm in the mood for something that can go muahah and perhaps sacrifice puppies to the glory of X but aside from that I'm stumped. A little inspiration/build advice would be appreciated.

The new blackguards are looking preeeetty nice and they are rather easy to use and build.
Sounds like a good way to get into baby munching.
Misc Changes, with the Feats and Skills sublinks.
Available races
Spell Changes
Class Mechanics
Command Guide

Take a look before asking your questions!

Maybe some evil cleric in the underdark. Battle-cleric? can't go wrong with that.

Blackguards are fun, warlocks and clerics too. If you do play a drow, make sure not to drink the Menzobarrenzan koolaid too much.

You're right. Participating in the forums was a mistake. Won't do this again.

I recommend starting your character firmly in the bad guy camp. I know that level 3 or level 4 guys can only get away with so much, so you might want to start with basic evils, like multi-level marketing, prosperity preaching, and walking slowly in crowded aisles.

Battle-based strength warlock black guard is fun.

Infinite buff spells, a battle buddy, amazing saves, grab divine shield at some point too.

Yep, I join the blackguard hype. Probably the most fun class I've played since the summons rewrote.
Currently playing: Seth Xylo
