Fiction section on the main web page maybe?
It occurred to me that we've had a of players really putting their all into their IC Stories, and it probably warrants something more accessible and easy on the eye than a forum thread.
I'm thinking some kind of 'fiction' menu on the main page, leading to some kind of appropriately textured section for the stories.
What are the community's thoughts on this?
I'd need to speak to our web dev guy, and then would need someone basically to take on the editor role. A player with a proven track record/interest in writing Arelith stories, and the right judgement to make the selection of what to include, and to fix any errors in the text. Natually someone that actually enjoys reading it would help.
I know we have the Encyclopedia, but this strikes me as not quite appropriate for it.

More a "Tales by the Campfire" section would be a nifty name.

Could definitely use a campfire image for the link box.Gods_Kill_People wrote:More a "Tales by the Campfire" section would be a nifty name.

I think that would be a really nifty idea to have a section just for this.

What kind of stories would be in this section? Anything specific, or the general variety that makes up the IC stories section as it is?

Probably any story you want to share, though favorable towards personal char stories.

Definitely not..."fiction." Tales by a campfire sounds so much more like something that suggests much more IC implications.
Perhaps that forum section could actually be designated as stories one could have heard IC and can indeed share by the campfire, instead of being something that no one can really do anything with.

Seriously, now, I would like an area of the forum-... Actually, I would like the whole forum to be a little more flexible in what you can write. More formats, more ease-of-access to commands already implemented in the code.
I had some examples but they were lost in the void.
Also, Sus - right now I don't see anything wrong with amending the nature of the IC story at the start.
It can be a book that's been around, or you can write something like
[People say many things about Dah Edgy Edgelord, but there are other rumours, rumours like these that are less heard...]
I mean, you can define what people can do with what you write, but whether they act on it is always their choice.

I would love to be an editor of the fiction section, or to help edit it, I've experience with a role. I also love reading the IC stories daily.

Re: Fiction section on the main web page maybe?
Would it essentially be IC stories, or could they be self-contained stories set in Arelith as well?
