Ah yes, that must've been pretty close to when the disguise system got its current iteration. I remember the legions of threads about disguises and metagaming disguises.

It's funny that he complains about bards being stronger for disguising because performance enhances both that and the bard song, just because he had a bad build and needed to stalk and attack people when they rested.
