The "chaotic evil" PVP-player was mostly a griefer, I understand.

Re: Things that really grind your gears...
Lately something's been bugging me, namely the fact that a female character can't wear even slightly risque outfits without people making uncouth OOC assumptions about the player.
There's such a limited selection for cloth, for instance, and I think #4 (the one that looks like *cough cough* bedroom gear) looks super badass. I'd like to outfit my character however I want without worrying that people are going to think I'm "that kind of player."

HAKs can fix that problem.

It will if you hacks them...
Re: Things that really grind your gears...
If somebody assumes you're "that kind of player" because your character wears something skimpy, I'd count that as a blessing as well as a curse - it's a good way to weed out people who aren't worth your time in the first place.Wytchee wrote:Lately something's been bugging me, namely the fact that a female character can't wear even slightly risque outfits without people making uncouth OOC assumptions about the player.

Descriptions that say "RP for info"
What am I supposed to do? Go up all like:
*Stares awkwardly at X, trying to discern any discernable features and appearance*

Using the toolset and realising that a certain square carpet texture is actually 1 degree off its rotation, and to put it right means making the carpet -1 degrees from whatever orientation you need it to have. >_>

-rotate_fixture -26
Or the reversed.
Also, when you try to place Fixtures on Fixtures, and you end up having to "Drop" them from inventory to get them on the ground, just for your character to turn 163 degrees dropping it some other place.

You can rotate fixtures with negative numbers?
THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING.

Re: Things that really grind your gears...
People make OOC assumptions? I've never experienced this. My characters always kept their views on other's clothing strictly IC as a trait, be it high sense of properness or the desire to show off.Wytchee wrote:Lately something's been bugging me, namely the fact that a female character can't wear even slightly risque outfits without people making uncouth OOC assumptions about the player.

Plus none of the torsos look like bedroom gear to me!
If you can defeat dwarves with it, it's good gear.

Personally, I love bedroom gear. Ty.
Re: Things that really grind your gears...
xD The "bedroom gear" I'm referring to is #4 for cloth, the "buckles and straps" torso.
Current character: Abigail Duskwood

This is the best.
*EDIT* Going to stop derailing the thread.
It really grinds my gears when awesome new features give my character pseudo OCD.

Having to enchant items/placeables that you're trying to just rename for RP's sake and paying 250 gold per item.
And accidentally blowing up a placeable because your enchantment failed

Protip, go to an area that's not at the fixture limit, then drop and pick up the fixture three times in a row.

It can't have somebody else's name in brackets though, otherwise the pickup/drop trick doesn't work.
