I got to thinking... And the chests in Thoramind's gave me an idea... Maybe instead of the infini-traps on most chests, some could be mimics that scale with the level of other monsters the area that they are in (if even appropriate for an area). It would add depth and actual RP to a situation instead of a trap that never goes away no matter how many times it is sprung, So more often than not, some chests are ignored for it; But im sure they wouldnt if people knew
I dont know if its possible to make an enemy Mimic like that- But if it can- it would be worth it for the experiences that it brings. XP and loot would be to your own discretion, As well as the difficulty. I just think it would be cool to see a few Chests come to life and attack the adventurers attempting to loot them would be tons of fun.

I've been considering this for some time, yes. It's a great idea, but it also requires more work than just a new creature (As I'd really like it to surprise PCs)
