We have berries, cotton, mint, etc. What about a magical paper bush that can be grown to produce an endless supply of paper?
Many of our druids/elves/naturey folk use a ton of paper, which given 1 tree only produces 3-5 softwood, which is 3-5 pieces of paper... I can only imagine how many trees are felled by naturey folk, no matter others. I think it'd make sense for druids to get together to make paper bushes which produce a few sheaf's of paper at the rate that other bushes produce berries.
Could make it a seed only producible by druids/rangers?

There was a birch tree in the module at one point in time which had lootable paper, presumably the birch bark, which is very flaky.

It would be easier to just increase the amount of paper produced from wood than to create a bush that produces paper.
