Changing way crafting points refresh EDIT

Post by nobs3 » Sun May 13, 2018 8:48 pm

[minor but basic suggestion]

The way how you regain crafting points atm is: 2,4h after you used at least 1 point they are refreshed. That way is working ok. But you should use at least one point the moment you log on to be able to use another 50 points after 2,4h playing. And it favors people that can log in every now and then a day (e.g. during work) just to craft. Also if you used all your points at once you won’t be able to craft the simplest object for 2,4h. (We all know the more or less creative IG explanations for this.: )

Suggestion:
Every 6min tick you are logged on you regain 2 (or 3) crafting points if you are below your max. CPs.
That way you would have 48 (or 72) points every 2,4h. And you would regain your points continuously if you are on. But you won’t gain points while you are logged out.

If a reset would always refresh your points, you could just use 50 points right away and in the next hour another 24 points. So there would be a small bonus that depends on the frequency of resets. (But logging in to craft would be reduced to once per reset.)

If the number of CP would be saved over resets, then I would suggest a rate of 3 CP / 6min.

Possible negative side effect: People might just stay on to gain points (instead of logging in every 2,4h to craft).
