What about chests where you can place an item inside and state a name and only you or the character you did mention can take the item out?
=> If you want to hand over an item to an other character that you dont find. (E.g. a crafted item or what ever.)
- chest at public place AND/OR chests at quarters (then the quarter owner would be able to take the items out and you wont have to mention a name)
- holds number of max xx items
- item is saved for 7 rl days and after that deleted
- special: maybe you could even add a amount of gold that would be needed to pick the item up (transfered to the bank of the one who did place the item inside)
"Tradechests" / "postbox" ?
