Avenger Assassin

Compare http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp? ... /20070401a to http://nwn.wikia.com/wiki/Assassin

The Avenger is essentially the non-evil assassin that defends their home by making all enemies quite dead. From the highest paladin, to the rogue or wizard or priest everyone on the isle kills and kills a lot of people. We kill bandits, starving people in the sewers, animals, etc.

So why is being an assassin 'evil' when most characters kill a lot of thinking creatures, often bringing in their head for money?

So my suggestion is to open up assassin to all non-lawful alignments so that it is more accessible to the non-evil character without a PRC token. However, make the joining of the assassin's guild require the DM permission token and DM quest (and potentially evil alignment) while the ones without are more akin to avengers.

Why? Well, as I said, killing things for money isn't evil in Arelith. The class itself isn't incredibly strong compared to rogues (and arguably weaker without evasion, but many will be rogues anyhow). So ultimately it just adds a bit of build flavour for a sneaker looking to focus a little more on killing than on utility.
