Wizard (?) Subclass: Spellsword

Post by One Two Three Five » Sun Jun 25, 2017 1:15 pm

 Knock mages back to 1/2 bab
 Add a spellsword subclass on creation/available from NPCs in, you know. Arcanist places. Sorcere, arcane tower, etc.

Spellsword does the following:
Sets wizard levels to 3/4 BaB.
Gives them a damage bonus to melee attacks equal to half their natural intelligence modifier
Removes one spell slot per level.
Allows you to add flame weapon to a GMW'd weapon at level 15, and Keen to one with either or both of the previous, at level 28.

Spellswords then select, similar to the Knight subtypes, which 'type' of spellsword they are, from the following options:

Knight Transmuter: Your polymorph/tensers/shapechange spells are extended automatically, and gain scaling bonuses as you level, as well as from transmutation focuses. Select a spell school: Your spells from this school are cast at a reduced level, and you cannot benefit from -epic_spell commands from that school.

Knight Abjurer: Your defensive abjuration spells are enhanced, offering extra AC, damage immunity, etc, when self cast. You gain access to the Wounding Whispers spell, cast spontaneously using level 4 spell slots, and an enhanced Glyph of Warding using level 6. Select a spell school to soft-ban as above.

Knight Evoker: Your flame weapon spell is now considered evocation, and you can change the element with a -command. As well, gain a (limited) selection of evocation spells which can be cast on a weapon and discharged on the next strike. Select a school, soft ban, etc.

Bladesinger: Elf Only. Gain int bonus to AC when unarmored up to half your wizard levels, while holding a rapier or longsword and nothing else. At a certain level, gain an extra attack with longsword or rapier as if hasted. (Does not stack with haste.) Your buffs of second level and lower apply to a number of elf-blooded allies equal to one-quarter of your wizard levels, in a small radius. Select, school, ban, so forth.
The devil does not need any more advocates
Clerics are just socially acceptable warlocks.
