Black guard summons

Post by Ozzy.nl » Thu Jun 11, 2015 3:19 pm

So as I noticed the summons have been reworked and yesterday my blackguard got his planner binding spell. Now it was cool to see the new imp and it is far more useful then the such us at this moment.
My question is how ever. How does the summon level in regards to the black guard levels. And will the imp later on change to something more powerful?

The same question also go's for the blackguard undead.

Can I also check that Greater Conjuration Focus bumps the summon up one level for the Blackguard?

I looked in wiki I don't think it does but I do think the epic fiendish servant feat does get you balor instead of vrock on arelith.

Overal the wiki does not look up to date with the new Summon rework.

Epic Fiendish Servant should get you the Balor/Pit Fiend. Your Imp will likely become an Erinyes (Succubus, for Chaotic/Neutral Evil types), and then an Osyluth (Vrock of Justice for the C/N types).

They are absolutely worth the investment in BG levels.

Conj focuses should in theory boost some temp HP and minor stat buffs to all your planar summons, but I cannot confirm whether this applies to those summoned via the Blackguard Planar Binding. They do not summon "one level above" of any of the Planar Binding/Ally/Gate spells, that only applies to Summon Creature x spells (with Warlocks being the anomaly).
