A different way of roleplaying 'Teleport'.
So, due the fact that Teleport is a result of an ESF in Transmutation, I was thinking..
Could you roleplay teleportation being you 'burrowing' through the ground, the earth shifting around you seamlessly as you reach your destiniation at a frightening speed?

Doesn't it depend on how you do it?
I guess that if you can be convincing and add to everyone else's game, then that is a good thing. If not, then they will probably not follow through and believe that you just did that.

Can you come up with an explanation as to why your burrowing destinations are limited to ley line portal exits? In addition, why do you need to walk down into the Underdark before you can burrow to destinations there?

Is this a reference to shapechanging into an Umberhulk?

I got the idea from a particular book series, I was just curious. (Bonus points for guessing the series.)
I also suppose you can explain that you are limited to leylines as they are your 'navigation'. Like light-houses but magical.

Can't remember the name. It's with that unintelligent Druid who melds with trees and travels through the roots, right?ArcanaFTW wrote:I got the idea from a particular book series, I was just curious. (Bonus points for guessing the series.)
