How to change my player name

Hey everyone,

With NWN:EE I found before that to change my player name for the servers, I used to be able to edit the Player Name in nwnplayer.ini.

Now when I do it and create a new character, I go through the process and as I hit "done" to play it and enter the entry area of Arelith, I am immediately kicked out of the server with the message "Deleted".

Is there some change to this or am I suddenly doing something wrong?

It's pretty likely that you're using a player name that is/was in use by someone else at some point during Arelith history.

If it's one of your old player names then it's because you've not logged onto one of the character's associated with that player name pre-EE.

Ah...that must be it then. I do not think I have logged into a character with that pre-EE account before. Thanks!

If it keeps happening, send me a list of your account names and I’ll make sure they are properly linked.
