Lore and looting
How much lore is required to be able to ID all jewelry, scrolls and gems automatically?

Re: Lore and looting
15 should do it. 20 is enough for everything else.

Re: Lore and looting
I usually go to 10 if I'm not maxing it for languages, and just use a ring of insight if I need the extra 5. This chart explains the values:

10 lore is 2500, with most people having 14 int this means 4800 - which covers scrolls level 8 and below, and nearly all gems (emerald is 4000, rouge strone 9000). Besides that using a ring of insight then brings you to 20,000 which covers the vast majority of items on the server, and another ring would bring you to 80k. Beyond that you might as well just pay the 50 gold to identify it!
The highest gem cost looks to be 9000, I didn't see a scroll worth more than 7000 - so 14 would cover all gems and scrolls. Jewelery can be any price and very quickly passes 10-20k, but most of that will already identified, outside of the more unique use/day pieces.

Re: Lore and looting
Thanks for that. I need to relevel a bit on my WM and pick up some lore, because I'm just not making any gold on dungeon runs! So much jewelry, gems and scrolls being left behind because my character is like "Duuuh. Whas that?" I could wear insight rings, butIdunwanna.WanderingPoet wrote: ↑Sun Nov 11, 2018 7:08 amI usually go to 10 if I'm not maxing it for languages, and just use a ring of insight if I need the extra 5. Thanks for the numbers!
