Examine Stats

Post by Commissar » Wed Sep 05, 2018 8:09 am

What are the required base stats for High/Average/Low when a character is examined? I'm curious as to what I need to invest in a nonessential stat for a concept I have in mind.

Honestly, I don't want these revealed, they are already pretty much used to metagame builds.

If you don't like people using your stats to figure out that the strong charismatic guy in full plate is probably a paladin, invest some ranks in bluff and use the -mimic command.

Not every char should invest in bluff, nor do I see a point to it, but revealing how the numbers work here....just helps people metagame.

Theyre pretty much known anyway, just in cliques. 10 to be medium, 16 to be high

Brilliant, thought it was around 16. Appreciate the help!

Yup! What I like to do with my build (paladins/BGs, anyways) is to go for the non-optimal path and take as many epeen high stats for examine as possible just for the luls.

Halfling Ftr/BG/Rogue -> 16 (gift, 24 @lvl28) Str / 10 Dex / 15 (16 @lvl4) Con / 8 wis / 14 int / 16 (gift) cha

This way all 3 are examined to be high! At the cost of 1 divine shield AC and 1 divine might dmg, of course.

It used to show more, like how high your INT was (which is something you really can't see).

I don't mind it; builds aside, it gives you an idea of what the chracter you're approaching might look like. Big and beefy? Thin and weedy? Though I will say its hard to judge Charisma.
