Turned into a werewolf

So pretty interesting I was turned into a werewolf after spending time in the forest of despair. I got a nasty scratch and 40 mins later or so I was attacking people.

How long does this last?
Can it be cured?

Some information should really be kept In Game, and this is one of those. I suggest asking IC and having fun with it.

I never liked the werewolf system. The wolf form is really buggy and the form itself doesn't even feel very strong, most of the time you're much stronger in person-form than wolf form. It's really easy to "catch" lycanthropy and really easy (if a bit obnoxious) to get rid of it. It doesn't feel significant in any way at all.

Also most importantly, the NWN werewolf model looks stupid as hell

When my character got bitten, and I didn't know the system at all, I first turned into a werewolf in the city, frenzied, and got put down. A group revived her and they took her to the depths of [Redacted], where I had never been before except in passing when I accidently walked there to get bitten in the first place. We found the cure and my character was no longer afflicted! In this instance, the werewolf feature was very kewl and led to an interesting player quest, at least from the viewpoint of the n00b.

There are lots of chars who know all about lycanthropy on Arelith on an IG level. IT should not be hard to figure out what the system is by ig information.

Its unfortunate Wharftown isnt a thing. They were on top of this werewolf business. Why do people even go in that forest now. I guess bendir dale is the community handing out writs there?
