Especially negative ones, MUHAHAAAAA!
(just kidding )
Previously you had to speak with the djinn to attempt a wish, but unfortunately in combat you cannot do this. The change removed the dialog option and before the djinn disappears it will grant you a wish.

Re: Djinn wish remade
That implementation is a little weird, though, no?
The whole concept of a wish is that it's, you know, a wish. Willingly requested by the recipient. More than that, even in D&D it's part of an exchange borrowing from old myth, i.e., "in exchange for three wishes, the genie may be free."
The first time I saw the 'forced wish' behavior, I'm not gonna lie--it sort of took me out of the moment. That was super weird.

Re: Djinn wish remade
I'd have to agree that it was an odd thing for the above reasons.
Also there aren't many (if any at all) wild mages that will be floating about with a decent wisdom score either, so you're now unlikely to ever see good wishes.

Thankfully this team is no longer being used.

Re: Djinn wish remade
WIll adjust the Djinn Surge to alway give neutral at lowest as a Wish since its a positive one anyway. Or have it be scaled with Wizard levels.
Re: Djinn wish remade
Or if you want to have something more original in concept than 'another surge that will cast something', you can do something like this:
Indestructible Djinn is spawned for 1 turn/minute. If not talked to, it will disappear after this time or wish taken.
When talked to, you are given randomly generated 2 (or 3) wishes you can choose from.
When chosen, you roll 1d20
1 - automatic failure and there is negative version of wish
DC 10 - neutral one
10-20 - positive one
This way it will be mostly used outside of fight, but it will be a wish you choose with slight probability of djinn over-smarting you.
Also of course there could be more wish options like 'random' (or even 'surge' one, which will just cast random surge).
There could even be one spawning allies or enemies on caster's level around you.
But this may not be worth time implementing it. But interesting anyway.
Just suggestion.
