Languages
My character has 16 base INT.
That means she can learn three additional languages.
What defines this number? Three additional "fluent" languages? Are all slots full when you're at a "beginner" level in three new languages? Is it possible to reach "fluent" in three new languages + intermediate in a few others?
Thanks!

Re: Languages
The three languages are three "Fluent" languages. I know that you can learn any amount of languages up to intermediate, but I don't know if you can continue advancing if you cap out on fluent languages.

Re: Languages
Yes, you can have 3 fluent languages and any number of advanced/intermediate/whatevers. However if these languages begin to overtake your fluency in another thing, the fluency can "disappear" and be replaced with the new.

Re: Languages
With monster languages like Jotun, is it even possible to learn as no PC's are around to practice with even when you hold the right book (or does random monster threats count as a slow accrual of knowledge to one day perfect fluency?).

Find an ogre PC in Andunor - feed him steak - he might teach you.
