I was wondering, I see a reference to the soft +12 cap a lot, especially as a barbarian with a lot of feats and such that also affect it. However, I can't find any one single place that contains the info. I seek. Can someone explain to me what bonuses apply to the cap and what don't?
Also, what counts as bumping up base stats for feats? Is it only the ability score improvements from leveling? The epic feats that up ability scores? I doubt it, but what about armor bonuses?

Re: Ability Score "Soft Cap"
Generally anything from spells, potions, gear etc. are soft bonuses and you can gain maximum +12 via these sources
Hard are generally lvl up increases, feats like great con, dragon disciple abilities, racial bonuses etc.
Pretty sure you can find a more thorough explanation on nwnwiki
Only hard count as feat qualifiers

Thank you for your help. Exactly what I was looking for. Found something similar on the wiki, probably what you're referring to, but it wasn't very specific there either. Now I know what I need, thanks again.
