spell penetration feats

how useful would taking spell penetration line of feats be in lieu of the recent changes with greater dispelling?..

i've read that with high caster levels one need not really worry about taking any spell penetration and it's a waste unless of course you're trying to beat high SR dedicated monks requiring something like epic spell pene i imagine...is this true?

It really depends on how many caster levels you are taking, what classes you are playing, what you are trying to do with the character. More often or not though your feats could be spent better elsewhere.
