Why does Spellsword get more Disc at 28 then Fighter?
At level 28, fighter gets 10. SS gets 15.
Why? Are spellswords simply more disciplined by nature?
If it's because they are a pure caster that melees and thus discipline is mandatory, can druids or clerics get such a boon for going pure as well?

I think it is to keep discipline on the old SS version 1.0 who are most likely only wizard based builds.
I doub anyone will go pure SS up to 28th loosing fourth attack, tumble AC, just to get +15 discipline...

Fighters have Discipline as a class skill and have the option to take ESF: Discipline. In practice, the Fighter will have higher Discipline.

If that's the methodology that's interesting. So wizards can cross-class disc and end up with almost full progression.
If that is intended, when other non-disc classes get updated, can we expect the same types of boon, so multi-classing specifically for disc is less required? Or is this going to be a spellsword only trait?

No similar changes are on the table.

Its also not the wizard class as a whole that gets said update, but a specific path.BegoneThoth wrote: ↑Tue Jun 12, 2018 10:58 pmIf that's the methodology that's interesting. So wizards can cross-class disc and end up with almost full progression.

If you cross class disc you'll have 31 before strength and you won't be able to esf it.
A pure fighter will be able to, so 33 + 10 + ESF for 53.
It's not even comparable. Also, a caster cleric is just that--a caster cleric. Not a clericsword. That's a different build, and that one gets discipline.
apples to oranges, man.
