Does buff stacking work?
If I cast several copies of the same spell on me(say ultravision), is there a chance some of them will survive a dispell?

Zoo spells, yes. Others, I'm not sure. I think zoo spells only work because the game tracks multiple castings which give different bonuses.
You may need to test others in game.

Re: Does buff stacking work?
Many spells are coded to remove any previous bonuses by the same spell. So you'll find in general it will not work. There are exceptions though, as Pinata notes.
Unfortunately there's no way to tell whether a given spell will work without either looking at the code or testing it in game.

This was pre EE, but Protection From Evil and Mage Armor are two spells that used to work like that as well.

All the zoo buffs work identically, it's not uncommon for a dispelled warlock to lose about a dozen copies of various sta buffs and keep a relevant one.
