How to use Repair Kits
Am I missing something here? I cannot figure out how to use these things. I've tried everything I can think of, nothing works. Help.

Use Item, on weapon, can right click on them for the radial dial to help.

Re: How to use Repair Kits
Right-click on the repair kit, select Use, and click on the item you want to repair.
Be sure to use the correct type of repair kit. Forging for metal weapons, metal armor, helmets, shields. Tailoring for leather armor, belts, boots, gloves, cloaks.

I've done this, and it does nothing. Tailoring kit on belt and boots. I use it, click the item, nothing happens. Do I need ranks in tailoring?

Are you sure they're damaged? How many charges do they have?

I only have 1 kit. I get no message at all. I use the kit, click the item to repair, my character does the animation, and nothing happens.

Contact a DM as it sounds like your kit is glitched, they can replace it, for now, unequip your item that has 1 charge so it doesn't break.
Re: How to use Repair Kits
I don't think it's glitched. This has been mine and my friend's experience with every kit we've tried on every character.

Will have to look into this. Maybe it behaves differently if you have the items equipped or unequipped.

*chimes in*
I know the forging repair kits aren't working for my character (Emelina Marsh) either. Meant to make a Bug post about it, but never got around to it.

I wonder if the variables on the item gets removed somehow or the tag gets changed when its being put in shops or the basin or whatever.

Re: How to use Repair Kits
As for myself, I've tried using the repair kits on both equipped an unequipped weapons. Didn't make a difference either way. The weapons in question are 2 sets of 2 kukris, one greensteel the other masterly damask, both of which sets have had permanent essences applied to them.

Tinkers repairing items seem bugged as well.
No floating message with the added charges or anything. Perhaps the method that’s responsible for adding charges is broken somehow.

Didn't think this could be a bug or I would have posted it there, hah. Just to clarify, the items I've tried to repair are boots, gloves, and belt that I enchanted in the enchanting basin, each had 2 enchantments on them. I tried with them equipped, and not equipped.

Re: How to use Repair Kits
A fix has been done for the Repair Kits and will be live next reset across all servers. We think the issue has to do when splitting repairs kits making them lose some data. In any case new repair kits and hopefully old ones will work properly anyway.Vilinde wrote: ↑Thu May 24, 2018 7:54 pmDidn't think this could be a bug or I would have posted it there, hah.
