Paths can't cross, as far as I know - feylocks can't become infernal/abyssal warlocks, for instance. If it's possible, you should probably report it!

If you already have a path, the IG path giver should turn you away, as if you were of the wrong class.

As is the case with most paths, you cannot take more than one path for the same class.
In the case of shadow mages, they specifically cannot become wild mages.
