Castle Gloom and Darrowdeep
How do these places work exactly? Like I get they're cool guild houses, and I can see they have shops from the outside, but you can't get inside.
The guards don't tell you who own them, yet they tell you to contact the owners. The gloom guards have a bribe option but it does literally nothing, just ends to conversation. These places seem really cool, and I would like to see some more stuff going on with them if the owners are out there...

They're owned by cities, bought through bidding wars, similar to the mines/Outpost/etc in the UD. Check out Mayfield's inn.
I imagine that, in time, as the owners get more settled in, we'll start to see territory flags and other signs of their presence spring up.

They're owned by settlements, I think you can find out who owns them at Mayfield's Land Brokage - you generally need to be a citizen of the settlements to use them unless given other access!

Re: Castle Gloom and Darrowdeep
As noted above you can see who owns what at Mayfields Landbrokerage. These areas are owned by a Settlement (Cordor, Bendir, Guldorland, Myon etc) through bidding that takes place every 4 IG year.
There are a number of boons owning these Castles and more to be added in the future.

If Maria Bianche becomes Cordor's queen I bet she'll make enough walls to make more castles. She will just like get rid of Cordor's current walls and make more, like further out.

You don't vote for a Queen.DM Always This Late wrote:If Maria Bianche becomes Cordor's queen I bet she'll make enough walls to make more castles. She will just like get rid of Cordor's current walls and make more, like further out.

This time you do! Part of an ongoing plot where King Edward Cordor is allowing the people of the isle to vote for their favorite contendor for queen. Look around Cordor and ask questions if you want to learn more!taoofbalance wrote:You don't vote for a Queen.DM Always This Late wrote:If Maria Bianche becomes Cordor's queen I bet she'll make enough walls to make more castles. Also yes, Maria makes best walls.
This too shall pass.
(I now have a DM Discord (I hope) It's DM GrumpyCat#7185 but please keep in mind I'm very busy IRL so I can't promise how quick I'll get back to you.)

Is she going to build a wall and make Andunor pay for it?

I much prefer some watery tart laying about in ponds and distributing swords as a basis for government.

Boons. Irongron might add more castles/lands in the future. But we have some ideas to add more to the Castles and Landbrokerage in general especially the Underdark lands. Sorta make each land unique if what can be gained from it for the Settlement. The Kriv wrote:Wait a sec... more boons?? or more castles...?ActionReplay wrote:.
