What quality of runes do you get for turning in artefacts?
Does a tailor artefact produce a tailor rune?

And yes.

Lesser runes tho are so weak because they prevented them being used on adamantite and damaskus, the only kind of top items with two properties...I would not waste euklian clay on them.

It is, why to waste euklian clay on crafting an item to achieve same result as enchanter can for few thousends in basin.

The lesser runes can be used on some useful and interesting things.

If you get your hands on one of the books about runes, you'll see that the lesser = 2 properties/greater = 3/masterwork = 4 is just a generalization. Some properties aren't counted, meaning there's some crafted items that are now ripe for customization.

I think a lot of this is FOIG? I need to check the team's stance- but in for now I'd really recommend asking about this In Game.

It would be really helpfull to know how essences are handled.

Example: You just finished/gained a new weapon and now you can tray to find this out IG. This might just take a lot of time (to find someone who knows it or to get hand on the right rune), using it without essence just to be save.

Dont think the book tells something about this.

The runes are forgiving in their use. If you use a rune on an item that it cannot apply to, it will give you a feedback message stating why, and the rune will not be used up.

If you use the rune on an applicable item, it will ask you to confirm the decision by using that rune on the same item again.

yes thanks. I read this on the forum. And thats a nice way to handle it.
[EDIT: I am honest here (and not ironic) : It would be hard if runes were wasted if used wrong!]
(The problem is just: Until I find out how runes and essences interact I will refrain to use an essence on my new crafted weapon:)
So now I need a rune to test it - or just ask around... :)
