Rangers and Awaken
A small host of changes to give rangers a little love last night, courtesy of KIrito:
- Magic Fang spells now grant bonus AC in addition to their other bonuses.
- Blade Thirst can now be cast on any melee weapon. (Does not work on arrow bundles.)
- Awaken no longer grants bonus AC, but grants an additional attack instead.
So that was the lastest Ranger update. I can cast all four spell levels of the ranger but I do NOT have Awaken. What am I missing?

Because even though you don't have the spell in your Ranger spellbook, you still have access to the spell via scrolls, and the spell still works on Ranger Animal Companions.

Re: Rangers and Awaken
Relevant because two spells were changed in conjunction.
Previously, GMF, available to both druids and rangers, only gave AB/Damage, and Awaken was a source of AC and stats.
In order to move some of the animal companion budget to a place where rangers can reach it, without granting a stacking bonus that would let druids double dip on AC, the armor component of Awaken was moved to Greater Magic Fang, and awaken was buffed to compensate for this (in the form of an extra attack per round.
Both needed to be changed in the same update, and thus got listed together.

Yep, I should've been clearer. Scurvy nailed it though. Thanks!
