Orogs and Gift of Strength
I was testing out an Orog and I didn't get an option to select the ability gifts (e.g., STR, CON). Is this a new thing?

Gifts were changed, orogs are kinda meh now. Being a race with 2 ECL ( that instantly is added to your character, as well with the stats that the race gets ) means that you cannot select any stat gifts ( explained in the second link).
