Oldest Fixture on the Server

Post by Sabines » Sat Apr 22, 2017 12:25 am

Here's for a change of topic!

What's the oldest player fixture still standing? My guess would be something in Benwick, although after the fall, I'm not sure.

There's plenty of Myon fixtures that are positively ancient, same with the older gravestones in the Cordor Graveyard.

Oh yeah, how did I not think of Myon? It's like a time capsule. There's a feeling of 'ancient' all about the Arelith Forest.

Nozrik Naethandreil fixtures are pretty ancient, also Trintiren fixtures (not sure if there's any left?).

Yeah a load of old fixtures in Myon. The crypts has some pretty darn old ones too, I think. A couple associated with Trintiren (though at least one was stolen by [REDACTED])

I can tell you that the fixture which has been in the same place for the longest time on the server is ... a potted plant in one of the Myon quarters, which has been there without movement since 2008.

Yeah, I bet most of Myon is preserved. ... one benefit of the Mythal!

Also, Dante's Shrine must be around 80+ IG years.

I am sure there are also a lot of old fixtures that will never see the light of day in the [REDACTED] base.

Not the oldest, but I love that Sandrhir Leonas's Sphinx statues (AR 50-something and AR 64?) are still floating around.
I've even owned them with three different characters, thanks to muling scripts not applying.

I think there's one of Jheremaine's deity statues at Soulhaven, from back in the late 20s to early 30s.

I still have a fixture on the server that I created 12 real years ago.

I think Aldur's Yondalla statue in Soulhaven is at least 11 years old (it was there before I turned up)

I was surprised to find some of Sasha's fixtures still existed. I found one in Myon and one elsewhere.
I made Sasha in late-January of 2008.

I always found the old fixtures and in in game date system was one of my favorite parts of the server. Such great history, I just wish the year counter didn't restart all the time.

The Palisades Fort on Gambler's Bluff had messages on it that were dated from the AR40's before the calendar bug re-wrote time.

Anecdote: The Ranger, Orion Stormwood's large-shield was forged by Trintiren.

Spellhold probably has some ancient stuff in it, I'd wager. Some of Katar Black's old murderfixtures, and I believe one third of the faerzress cannon.
