New craftable stats
So, are the stats for all the new armour/weapons listed somewhere? Most of them require such a big investment into the craftskill and materials that it feels really risky to go for it without knowing what I'll get out of them first. Doubly so when they have strict class/racial requirements and UMD limitations, so the potential market if they turn out suboptimal for my own character is rather slim.
Also, it feels really weird to not know what you're going to make until after you've made it. Surely a master smith would know all about the properties of adamantine, and an alchemist would know what attunement potions do.

They get added as I get slapped with the stats.

Damn, the svirfneblin light hammer will probably remain a mystery for some time then, given its crafting requirements and how few svirfs there are around.

I thought the ward breaker was a drow crossbow. Is it not limited to drow only?

Re: New craftable stats
you can only restrict by base race (and base class/alignment) on who can wield the item.
Who can craft said item can be restricted further

I honestly expected a class restriction to be put on it.

Re: New craftable stats
Given that this comes up every time, is there any chance the stats of new craftables could be put in the update thread when they're announced?

Especially given this new item has a DC a good 20 points higher than any other tailoring object, meaning I will eat my hat if any characters exist with enough to make it, presently. One Two Three Five wrote:Given that this comes up every time, is there any chance the stats of new craftables could be put in the update thread when they're announced?

Don't make me do it, Hunter. I can do it, but that's a nice hat and I don't really want to see it gone.

If you go to a tailoring station you can see the stats by clicking 'preview properties' now.
This goes for everything, actually. Funnily enough, poisons literally just say 'Unlimited Uses per Day' or something.

Re: New craftable stats
You a ranger too? It's sort of hard to get stoked about the new armor when it has a crafting requirement that makes acquiring it implausible. It also gimps all tailors who intelligently decided not to go beyond 34 ranks in the trade, which is, needless to say, an interesting 'feature.'

Re: New craftable stats
Hello,
I wanted to confirm UMD with these. There are a few of these items that specify UMD values of 30. This is just increasing the DC, and the rest are still accessible by normal rules, yes?
For example, because I am ridiculous I want a half-orc that wields a dale sword that is worth 50000 value. So I just need 20 - 25 UMD to do so, correct?
Thanks!

Re: New craftable stats
Most, if not all, racial weapons and armor have an increased UMD score.
It usually ranges from between 25 to 50, though there is, I think, one extreme case of 80.
