ECL changes?
Will the ECL changes take effect to old chars lowering their ECL as well?
Re: ECL changes?
No. Only to new characters.
Old characters were able to enchant +2 skills to make their start easier if they were focusing on stealth, pickpocket or disguise

That was unfortunate timing!

Re: ECL changes?
Any chance you'll reconsider this? I wish you would. Doesn't seem very fair to me. I don't see how the two things are related to one another. Most people get an enchanter to do this stuff anyway, because low levels are so short on gold.

Re: ECL changes?
If you made your character yesterday, you are still on time to start again.
It's not fair, but if the ECL or the build optimization worries you, it's your best option.

While a nice cookie to characters looking to pick up skill gifts, I wouldn't want to play a newbie rogue in the current environment.
At least not without making arrangements with a lvl 15+ enchanter friend beforehand.
On the bright side, free XP for bards. Yay.

Mine was fairly smooth sailing, and I started it last Thursday. But who knows.yellowcateyes wrote:While a nice cookie to characters looking to pick up skill gifts, I wouldn't want to play a newbie rogue in the current environment.

Re: ECL changes?
Yeah, rogues are fine if you have the faintest idea what you're doing.

Re: ECL changes?
I've played a variety of rogue types, some up to epics. If I was deciding on a new character to roll up in light of recent changes, I wouldn't pick a rogue.
The weight carrying ratio change is pretty nice, though.
