I see horses that belong to people. How do you obtain a horse?
I want to create a riding character, but am unsure how it all works and whether it is worth the investment.

They're found throughout the module, spawning once per reset. Some locations are intuitive, like the stable just outside of Cordor, or at Darrowdeep, but others must be found. Most horses, aside from those in locked areas, will be gone after less than half a day of uptime. If riding is very important to your character, you can log off on a horse, and it will persist through resets.

Can just take other people's horses too. I will either murder you if you take mine or thank you because people will no longer know where I'm at. Roll the dice.

I love that horse-rustling cowhin is now an entirely valid character concept. Gonnes and showdowns at noon are optional, but encouraged, if you go that route.
