Hook Hammer

Post by Dreams » Fri Apr 26, 2024 4:43 pm

Description:

  • Weapon Finesse does not work with Hook Hammer
  • Gnome does not have proficiency with Hook Hammer
  • Spellsword (Marauder) does not get the twohanded bonuses from holding a Hook Hammer, but a human holding a twobladed sword/dire mace/quarterstaff does get the bonuses.
  • Damage type is defaulting only to piercing, not bludgeoning
  • There's no VFX no matter what type you use
  • can't be chosen as WM Weapon of choice

Steps to reproduce: Craft the weapon on the live server then -transfer with a character to the PGCC then make the character you want to test it on then login with that character and equip and observe effects

Expected result: Finessable, gnomes having proficiency, marauder registering this as a twohanded weapon, damage typing being Bludgeoning + Piercing, VFX to be applied to weapon resulting in visible vfxs to the weapon head spots, being able to choose weapon of choice feats

Actual result: none of those things

Which Server(s)?: testing on PGCC, can't make the weapon on PGCC

RP only starts at 30 if you're a coward.

Can confirm the above as just completed testing (on PGCC) too.

Things that DO work:

  • Swashbuckler dmg bonus (applies as Piercing, i expected Bludge)
  • Cavalier charge (not cavalier weapon but charges as Bludgeoning weapon so charge effect is Stun)

Answer:

  • The marauder bonus shouldn't work with Double Sided Weapons. I wonder how you can get it with Large Double Sided weapons.
  • The damage type on the weapon is piercing by default, it's functioning exactly like Halberd (Halberd is a dual damage type weapon)
  • I will think about VFXs soon.

Probably soon, potential fixes for:

  • Hookhammer Proficiency for Gnomes
  • Finesse for Cane, Hookhammer, Yari.
  • Weapon Of Choice for new Weapons.
