[Closed] Enchanting didn't give any effect

Hello, so lucky day for me! Just spend 10k to try to get a helmet on +2 AC after getting spell focus enchanting. Nevermind the failures I tried again to one more time enchance already a +1AC helmet with another +1, and after a success I noticed that it didn't make any changes to the item, I suppose it's a bug right? Because if it wouldn't be possible why there is an option for another +1 (I hope I am not wrong and in this case there should not be an option to try another +1 if it is not possible to work). I got screens if it's neccesairy.

Multiple versions of +1 AC enchantments don't stack, they just replace each other.

The enchantment system can be a little confusing at first. All enchantment effects which can be added to a given item will remain available, regardless of whether they would improve the item. Any item property added to an item will replace any existing property of the same type.

For Example: If you enchant a +2 AC helmet with +1 AC, it will end up with +1 AC, not +3.

Do you need greater enchanting focus to do +2 then?

You can only do +2 skills, and that is with Greater Focus and level 15.
The rest you are limited to +1.

You can find existing +2 ac items, and add properties to them. It's a risk, though.

Just to clarify a few point:

- Enchantments put on an item are NEVER additive, no matter what spell foci you have.
- SF Enchantment allows you to enchant +1 to skills, and GSF allows +2 to skills. There is no way to enchant an item with +2 to AC or stats.
