Gift Screen Didn't Show

Hello,

If I create a character and the "gifts" screen doesn't show and the lever doesn't work what option do I have? I have a friend who started his character and is already level 6 but never received the gifts (stat bonuses), is there a way for a DM to help us or would he have to start another character from scratch?

To get gifts, he's better off starting from scratch. Even if the DMs can do it, I wouldn't count on it being as quick and easy as just starting over.

Did the dialog just never show up at all?

Thanks for the response, but he is already level 6, I know it doesn't seem like much to veterans but we are new to the server and haven't played the game in 15 years so it is a little difficult for us to redo everything. Is there any other option?

This is generally caused by making a character, deleting it, and then recreating a character with the exact same name.

Such is something to avoid as it can cause some minor bugs in the system regarding some of Arelith's custom features and scripts. Bank account errors and failing to see the gifts screen are two examples of such.

If this is what you did, such can be avoided by either adding a space to the name, changing one letter in it, or if you really want it exactly the same; waiting for a server reset before recreating.
