Unable to Drop Out of Elections

My character had put her name in the running several weeks before elections started. When they started, after being convinced to not run for another year, she was unable to withdraw her name from the ballot after several attempts. I believe this bug of not being able to drop out is limited to occurring for pre-election registering, and works as intended during.
