Hello!
I am a new player on the realm and tried to make a new character. Though it appears I did not receive a "innate ability" item which is supposed give the extra stats in the beginning. Is this intentional or is anyone able to help me achieving this?

It would help if you let us know what extra stats you're receiving or not receiving.

check your inventory. it looks like the thing you get in "hoards of the underdark" expansion that revives you and allows you to visit the reaper (i don't remember what it was called).
it's a 1x1 item. on examining it, you should see the gifts you chose, and it will have all of your racial and gift-based special abilities.
